Choices: Which way should I go? #SaintCity @saintcityTV
How often do you catch yourself zoning out and thinking what you should have done differently instead of what you’ve already done? Life is all about choices. Sometimes we make the wrong ones and sometimes we make the right ones.
When we become part of God’s covenant family, the blessings we receive far outweigh what we must give up. We have to sacrifice and compromise a lot in life. In my own experience, the hardest things I’ve had to sacrifice at the moment, always have me feeling such relief in the future when I chose the route I knew I was supposed to as opposed to doing whatever I wanted to “just because.” Sometimes we choose to become part of the problem and not part of the solution. We choose to live under our circumstances rather than above them. CHOOSE to rise above!
Life is not that complicated.
I like to work hard at everything so I feel/know that I’ve earned whatever I’m working for. But we shouldn’t have to fight just to live. Life isn’t meant to be complicated. It’s our choices we make that lead us into those circumstances (that we’d much rather do without). It’s really US putting ourselves in sticky situations. Then we even have the audacity to take our frustrations out on others when in actuality…we’re really just mad at ourselves.
“A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes a wrong one.” Ecclesiastes 10:2
The verse above is straight forward and on point. We’re all fools at one point or another but the difference is acknowledging it, changing and moving forward. Look at the big picture not at all the little mistakes. We will make mistakes and we’ll still choose wrong but the goal is to consciously ask God to put the right paths in our hearts so that we can choose right.
“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: love each other.” John 15:16
