Cross-country Road Trip!

Well my family and I decided to drive from las vegas to New York. Due to the fact we have not been back since my 2nd son was 8 months old(2 1/2 yrs. ago). Our main goal is to see our families and friends since we have a new addition to the family. My daughter was born August of 2011 and the remainder of our families have not met her. At first we thought we would fly, but I wanted to do a road trip. I know to some it sounds crazy, “why would anyone want to drive cross country with a 7 yr old, 3 yr old and 8month old?” I see new experiences for my kids to learn about their country,as well for myself. I know we will  have ugly moments, bad moments and good moments. Who knows we may even make it a tradition of sorts.

On this journey we will be making friendships along the way. We plan on being on the road for a duration of 8 weeks. So with that being said I had to start planning, I actually enjoy doing this. What things or items would I need to bring?  I mean I’m not just packing for 2, I’m packing for 5 people and 1 or 2 weeks worth of clothing. So I did what any other mom would do and I googled it. Then I created a pinterest board of items we would need: first aid kit, games, cooler for drinks and food, entertainment, etc.  As I am still getting things in order, you will see what goes into planning a road trip. As well as what takes place on the road and when we get to our destinations.
